PFC Genth now listed killed in Vietnam

PFC Gary Genth, of Waynedale, has been killed in action, according to word received by his wife, Linda.
Private Genth, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Roy Genth, was reported Missing In Action February 19, 1969. He entered the service May 27, 1968 and was with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry, 1st Air Cavalry Division.
Prior to entering military service, he worked with his father at Wayne Trucking Company. He was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church and the Waynedale Masonic Lodge. He was a graduate of Elmhurst High School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Carl Baker, Culver and Mrs. Robert Webb, Fort Wayne; and his grandmother, Mrs. Walter Genth, Fort Wayne.
The body will be sent to the Elzey Home For Funerals in Waynedale.
