Eliza D. Lanham, 88, of Ranson, W.Va., died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, in Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson.
Mrs. Lanham was born Jan. 7, 1915, in Page County, the daughter of John W. and Rosa Nichols Dodson. She had worked at the former Jeffersonian Manor Nursing Home in Charles Town, W.Va.
She was a member of the Charles Town Baptist Church.
She was married to Henry Lee Lanham, who died Sept. 11, 1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty L. Glascock of Ranson and Frances L. Cooper of Charles Town; a son, H. Wesley Lanham of Hagerstown, Md.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Rosa Mae Burcker, and six brothers, Robert Dodson, Hubert Dodson, Vancouver Dodson, Taylor Dodson, Edward Dodson, and Charles Dodson, are deceased.
A funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with the Rev. Robert Glascock officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
