James A. Perkins, 86, of Charlestown, NH died November 30, 2006 at his home.

He was born in Nashua, NH on July 21, 1920 the son of Archie D. and Mary L. (Harris) Perkins. He grew up in Antrim and graduated from Antrim High School in 1938 and Wentworth Institute in 1941.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army in the Combat Engineers from 1944 to 1946 in the Philippines and Japan.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #50 of Antrim, NH.

He was also a member of the Hitormis Club, a former Member of the Snowmobile Club in Charlestown and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Antrim.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending as much time as possible at his camp in Windsor, NH.

Mr. Perkins was employed at Fellows Corporation in Springfield, VT for forty years and retired as a machine designer in 1981.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife Dorothy (Nylander) Perkins in 1983. He is survived by his wife Doris A. Perkins whom he married on February 6, 1985.

Graveside committal services will be held at the North Branch Cemetery in Antrim, NH on December 4, 2006.
