Jacob Sheibley "Uncle Cap" Smith, Jr., 92, died November 7, 2006 at his home in Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA.
He was born February 12, 1914, in Newport, PA.
Mr. Smith retired as relay tester for General Electric after more than 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Princeton Presbyterian Church in Springfield, PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Orr) Smith.
Surviving are 2 nieces, O'Cilla Jane Smith of Ventura, CA and Drue Ann Grumbine of Grantville, PA; 1 nephew, Charles K. Smith, Jr., of Mechanicsburg; 1 sister-in-law, Margaret Smith of Ventura, CA; 1 great-niece; 1 great-nephew; and 1 great-great-niece.
Interment will be at his family section at the Newport Cemetery, Newport, PA. Services will be private.
