Professional Hockey Player. A native of Sudbury, Ontario, Green played for teams in the OHAJR, OHASR, NOHA, CAHL, NHL, Can-Am, and the AHA hockey leagues. At 5'08", and 148lbs, Green played for the Toronto De La Salle from 1917 to 1918, Parkdale Canoe Club from 1918 to 1919, Sudbury Wolves from 1919 to 1920, 1921 to 1923, Port Colborne Sailors from 1920 to 1921, Hamilton Tigers from 1923 to 1925, New York Americans from 1925 to 1928, Boston Bruins from 1928 to 1929, Detroit Cougars from 1928 to 1929, Providence Reds from 1928 to 1929, Duluth Hornets from 1929 to 1931, and the Tulsa Oilers from 1931 to 1932. Green was a member of the NOHA First All-Star Team in 1922, and was the brother of Hockey Hall of Famer Wilfred 'Shorty' Green. Green later retired from hockey and took a job with a commissary in Elliott Lake, Ontario, before moving to Labrador. Green passed away in the Sudbury-Algoma Sanitarium in July 1966 at the age of 65, following a lengthy illness.
