*Note from George Meier Jr.: Find a Grave is amazing! My brother and I were talking of our youth in Kalamazoo, MI where we lived across the street from Dr. Perdew's widow, Mary. I last saw her in the retirement home in Ormand Beach, FL in the mid/late 1980's. Our mother kept in close touch so when Mom lost track we assumed that Mrs. Perdew had passed. Mrs. Perdew was a kind, lovely, sweet lady; it was a privilege to have known her. She was VERY independent, drove an Edsel, and always owned a car with a stick shift!!
