Alta G, Bellinger, 86, of Mesa, Ariz., died Dec. 22 in Arizona.
She was born the daughter of Burton and Useba Meyers Allen Aug. 26, 1886 in Isabella County. She lived in Gilmore Township until her marriage in 1908 to E.R. Kidder of Austin. They lived in the Grand Rapids area until his death Dec. 21, 1910.
Mrs. Bellinger moved back to the Clare area where she lived until 1966 when she moved to Wisconsin to be near her daughter.
She was a life member of the Zenobia Chapter No. 129 Order of the Eastern Star in Clare. She taught school in Shepherd, Clare and Farwell areas for more than 28 years.
She married Jay O. Bellinger of Farwell in 1923.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Allen Kidder of Traverse City; one daughter, Mrs. Altha Kincaid of Palmyra, three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five cousins; a number of nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27 from the Coke Funeral Home in Farwell. Rev, Donald S. Winegar officiated and burial was at the Cherry Grove Cemetery. (The Clare Sentinel, p.3 - Clare, MI - 3 January 1971)
