Melvina married William Morrison 1-3-1868 after her half sisters Frances died. William died shortly thereafter, he is not on the 1870 census. Melvina married 2nd to Johnson Basham/Bassham who was more than 30 years her senior.

There were no Morrison children, the 1870 census list Johnson Basham & Melvina Basham married no children.

The 1880 Texas census list Johnson Basham age 66 & Melvina wife age 30. Children

1. James J. born 1872
2. Luther S. born 1876
3. Zeph born 1879
