He was born May 7, 1939 in Titusville, Pa., the son of the late Harry E. and Luva (Meyers) Dickey.
Mr. Dickey worked for the GE Company of Erie, Pa., for 26 years, retiring in 1999. He was a former member of the Ripley Fire Company #1, Masonic Lodge of Westfield, and the Methodist Church of Ripley, NY. He was well-liked and respected in the Ripley community.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, L. Elaine (Thompson) Dickey, who died in 1999; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Ashley Dickey.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Sheila) and Kevin (Susan) Dickey and three grandchildren, Rachel, Michael and Christina Dickey of Ripley; five sisters, Betty Colburn of North East, Pa., Joyce Christ of Westfield, Barbara Brown and Joan Bemis of North East and Yvonne Knodes of Harbor Creek, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. William is further
survived by his loving companion, Mildred Timmerman of Ripley, NY.
