A native of Montreal, Quebec, Harnott played for teams in the NHL, AHA, CAHL, NWHL, QPHL, IHL, Can-Am, MTRHL, and the MCHL hockey leagues. At 5'10", and 175lbs, Harnott played the position of Left Wing for the Montreal Bell Telephone from 1928 to 1929, Montreal Columbus from 1929 to 1931, Boston Cubs from 1931 to 1936, Montreal AAA from 1931 to 1932, Boston Bruins from 1933 to 1934, Syracuse Stars from 1934 to 1935, Calgary Tigers from 1935 to 1936, St. Louis Flyers from 1936 to 1942, St. Paul Saints from 1937 to 1938, Omaha Knights from 1939 to 1940, Montreal Royals from 1942 to 1943, Montreal RCAF from 1942 to 1945, and the Valleyfield Braves from 1944 to 1945. Harnott was also a member of the AHA Second All-Star Team in 1940. Harnott retired from hockey in 1945. He died in January 1977 at the age of 67. (bio by: K)
