William C. "Bill" Wood (1928 - 2012)
William C. "Bill" Wood passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Garden Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
William was born March 4, 1928, in Fort Worth to parents, M.L. and Rema Wood. He served in the U.S. Navy beginning in 1945. After he was discharged, he went to work as a salesman for Milly Trailers and McQuary Trailers. Bill became a Mason in 1950. In 1951 he became Chapter and Council, Knights Templar and Shriner. He served two times as Worshipful Master in 1986 and 1998 at the Arlington Heights Lodge 1184. He was also a member of the National Cutting Horse Association. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sherry Wood.
Survivors: Brother, Bobby Dean Wood and wife, Nita, of Eattonville, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
