Colleen Virginia Tosi, 94, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.

She was born June 12, 1912, in Monongahela, a daughter of Thomas and Jennie Bautz Baxter.

Mrs. Tosi was a member of First Baptist Church in Monongahela. She retired after 10 years of employment as a psychiatric aide from Mayview State Hospital.

She was a charter member of AARP Monongahela chapter, member and past president of Grand Army of the Republic and a former member of Monongahela Womens Club.

She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards in the family card club and with friends. Everyone enjoyed her great sense of humor. She loved her Lord and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving are two daughters, Colleen Ludeker and husband Dave of Glenmoore and Betsy Graff and husband Denny of Monongahela; a daughter-in-law, Marika Tosi of Greenwood, Ind.; eight-grandchildren, Betsy Schirra, David Graff, Kristina Tosi, Erika Gleeson, Michael Tosi, Mark and Julie Ludeker and Amy Simons; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Baxter and wife Wilda and Tom Baxter Jr. and wife Dorothy, both of Monongahela; and three sisters, Catherine Liparulo, Rose Gust and husband Dan and Doris Buell and husband Lee, all of Monongahela.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Albert P. Tosi, who died March 14, 2001; two sons, Tommy Tosi, who died in infancy, and Albert P. Tosi; two brothers, James and Paul Baxter; and five sisters, Eugenia Baxter, Elizabeth Henderson, Ella Mae Good, Martha "Fritzy" Frye and Bertha Bozovich .

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in L.M. Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, with the Rev. Mark Schollaert officiating. Committal service and interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
