Viola R. Britton Childers, 65, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Pawling, with family in Pawling and Wingdale, died Dec 26 1999, at home. Mrs Childers was a nurse at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Born March 25, 1934 in Pawling, NY, she was the daughter of Raymond and Minerva Pierson Britton. She married John D. Childers, who died in 1990. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Wameke of Council Bluffs; two stepdaughters, Linda Pleake and Cherlyn McHenry, both of Council Bluffs; two stepsons, Terry Childers of Council Bluffs and Williams Childers of Houston; four sisters, Petra derBoghossian of Wingdale, NY; Patricia Spinner of Pawling, NY; Bernice Morris of Virginia and Sally Lewis of Nashua, N.H.; and three brothers, Edward Britton of Pawling, NY; Allen Britton of Council Bluffs and Fred Britton of Nashua, N.H.. She was predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery,Council Bluffs, Iowa.
