A Sad and Sudden Death

Mrs. Jennie Heberhart, daughter of Jonathan McClure, Esq., of this city, and wife of Mr. Charles E. Heberhart, died very suddenly and unexpectedly last night at her home near Calloway's Station. She had been in the city visiting her father and other relatives over Sunday, and returned to her home yesterday, apparently in good health. The announcement of her death therefore came like a shock to her relatives and friends in this city. She had taken a cold, followed by congestion of the lungs, and almost without warnng her spirit passed away. While the hearts of mourning friends are wrung with bitterest grief, they know that hte inexorable fate which out the thread of mortal life held for her
"The golden key
Which opens the palace of eternity."
The deceased would have been 38 years old on the 29th of October next. She leaves a husband and four children, three boys and one girl, their ages ranging from sixteen to four years.

Mr. McClure, Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Heberhart and other relatives went out to-day to the home of mourning, and will accompany the remains to this city for burial. The funeral will take place from the residence of Mr. Jonathan McClure, on North Jefferson street, tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock.
