Mrs. Glena M. Wilson, 96, of 2130 Wilson Dairy Road went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ Monday, April 15, 2002. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walkertown Pentecostal Holiness Church (now Beacon of Grace Community Church) led by Pastor Terry Wiler and Elvio Canavesio, a missionary from Argentina. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown. Mrs. Wilson was born Sept. 14, 1905, to Bertha Rupert Millsaps and William P. Millsaps in North Iredell County. She was a charter member of the Walkertown Pentecostal Holiness Church, Walkertown. During World War II she worked at the Carbon plant at Chatham Road, Winston-Salem. She retired in 1968 from Western Electric Co. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James A. Wilson; a son, Dwight Wilson; her parents; three sisters, Anthena Marlow, Louetta Millsaps and Ozell Shoemaker; and three brothers, Tom, Virgil and Larry Millsaps. She is survived by two sons, Robert "Bob" W. Wilson and wife, Norma, and Aaron "Chick" Wilson and wife, Emma, all of Wilson Dairy Road; two sisters, Arlene Chase of Mooresville and Lorene Johnson of Kannapolis; a brother, W.P. Millsaps, of Statesville; seven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Hanes-Lineberry, Pierce Chapel in Kernersville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 1100-C S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
