Felix Grundy Carter was the son of Issac Carter and Dorcus Bradshaw. Issac Carter served in the War of 1812 from Sampson County, North Carolina. He married Dorcas Bradshaw on the couthouse steps, all per his service records. Issac moved to Henderson County, Tennessee around 1830.
Issac Carter's daughter Mary Ann Carter, married Isaac W. Baskins and moved to Arkansas.

Verified with Personnel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on 8-22-13 that Felix Carter, died at 66 yrs of age on 15 Apr 1905. He is buried in Sec 9, Lot 22. The info at the cemetery does not have his birth date, his parents names or his wife's name.
On the 1900 US Census, Nashville, TN, it states Felix Carter was born October 1836 (even though the 1850 US Census, Henderson , TN estimates birth date as 1838). Also the 1900 Census shows Felix Carter living on Maury Street in Nashville. The Nashville, Tennessee city death records also shows Felix Carter, of 81 Maury Street, died on 15 Apr 1905 (Melissa Schaefer)
