"Warren" in "son of Warren.." and "Shillings" of "Mrs. Thelma Shillings" are belived to be typographical errors in the following obituary, backed by other various documents. They should read: "Wharham", and "Schilling", respectively.

Toronto Republican Thurs March 26, 1970 col ?

Dial Moss, son of Warren and Ida Miller Moss was born June 2, 1890 at Lincoln,Kans., and died March 15, 1970 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka where he had been a patient. He was 79 years of age at the time of his death.

He was married to Mae Evelyn Donbarger in 1912 at Lincoln, Kans. In 1923 they

moved to a homestead near Gillette, Wyo., then in 1945 they moved to a ranch near Ismay, Mont., until his retirement in 1950 when they sold the ranch and moved to Miles City Mont. In 1958 his wife died and on August 28, 1960 he was married to Flossie Gordy in Toronto where they made their home until his death.

He is survived by his widow,Flossie of the home; three sons, Virgil of Arcadia, Fla., Ralph of Bowie, Tex., and Vern of Ismay, Mont.; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Malone, Miles City, Mont., Mrs. Fern Ritter, California, Mrs. Edna Gregerson, Gillette, Wyo.,Mrs. Thelma Shillings, Bozeman, Mont., and Mrs. Yonna Andretta, Klamath Falls, Ore.; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two step-sons Robert and Wilbur Gordy of Hutchinson; and one step-daughter Mrs. Katherine Campbell of Towanda, a half-sister, Mrs. Julia Pindar of Toronto, also many other relatives and friends.

Services were held in his memory from the Toronto Presbyterian Church at 3:00 p.m., March 19 with Rev. Wilbur Clark officiating. Vivian Black was the pianist and Hazel Leatherman was the soloist. Pallbearers were Tom Walden, Frank Jones, Harold Powell, Vic Dyer, Manley Matson, and Van Gustin.

Honorary pallbearers were Nelsey Williams, Lee Cooper, M. E. Black, Floyd Sowder, Lee Moon and Mark Sample. Intermentin the Toronto Cemetery.

I am confused: Dial's obit says he was born in 1890, however, his headstone says he was born in 1888!
