Frances M. Clark of Portia died Thursday evening, February 2, 2012 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, she was 88 years old.

She was born Sep. 27, 1923 in Black Rock to the late Frank McCarroll & Johnnie Ward McCarroll Alvarez. She married S. Lavelle Clark in Pocahontas on February 29, 1948. She was a member of the Portia Church of Christ and homemaker.
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Weir and Willie McBride.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Clark of Portia; her sister, Flossie Wilson, Malvern; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Vic & Patsy Clark, Sr. of Portia and Ralph Clark of Walnut Ridge, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 at Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge, the service will be in the funeral home chapel Sunday at 2:pm, Minister Robert Davis and Darrell Douglas officiating; burial will follow in the Hope Cemetery at Imboden. Honored to serve her as pallbearers will be Jim Penn, C.L. Clark, Robert Shelton, Phillip Clark, Merle Mitchell, Vic Clark, Jr.
