Felix E. Adams Sr., 74, retired farmer and manager of Woodson County Coop Virgil, died at the Greenwood County Hospital, Thursday, July 19, 1990.
He was born March 10, 1916, on the Claycomb ranch northwest of Eureka, the son of William Fayette and Hattie Vera Claycomb Adams. Felix lived his entire life in Greenwood County and was a graduate of Eureka High School. On October 17, 1937, he was married to Louise M. Bruns in Eureka. They farmed northwest of Eureka until 1958 when they moved to Virgil, living there until moving to Eureka recently. Felix managed the Woodson County
Coop in Virgil for 20 years, retiring 1982. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife Louise, three sons, Donald L., Springfield, MO, Felix e. Jr., El Dorado, KS, David A. Baton Rouge, LA, three daughters, Ellen Berry, Topeka, KS,Sharon Schultze, Ottawa, KS, Theresa Trecek, Eureka, KS, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild, two brothers, Shirley, Eureka, James, Overbrook, KS and a sister Rachel Teter, Burns, KS. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Jean.
