School Sister of St. Francis Ruth Marie Ludwig, 80, died June 24 at St. Joseph Convent, Campbellsport, Wis.
Born in Kloten, Wis., she was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis in 1940, and made her profession of vows in 1942. She was a missionary in Honduras from 1945-48. She was known for many years as Sr. Agrata.
A homemaker and teacher, her school assignments in the Archdiocese of Chicago included: St. William, 1941-43; St. Clara, Chicago, 1943-44; Holy Angels, Chicago, 1948-62; St. Martin, Chicago, 1964-66, 1969-75, 1976-77; St. Mary, Buffalo Grove, 1967-69. She also worked as a librarian at St. Martin from 1977-81, and as a driver for the sisters at Our Lady of Victory Convent, Chicago, from 1984-97.
