Sam Henley Moore, 77, a retired farmer/stockman of Brookston, Rt.#1, died of illness Monday at 8:30 a.m. in McCuistion Hospital, Paris.
He was born at Brookston, February 1, 1888, son of W.M. Moore and Mattie Herd Moore.
He was a member of Brookston Methodist Church.
Sam married Miss Vera Cecile Yates, January 28, 1912, and they had one son, Sam Henley Moore Jr., whose death occurred December 27, 1955.
Services are set for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Gene Roden & Sons Funeral Home, where relatives will receive friends Tuesday between 7-9:00 p.m.
Interment is arranged in Evergreen Cemetery, Paris.
Surviving besides Mrs. Moore, are one grandchild, and two sisters.
