Henry was born in Hanover Deutschland Meklish Germany. He arrived in America as a single man on Sep. 19 1868, according to records from Frankfort Ky. He married Mary Ann Twenty on Aug. 6 1871. To this union 11 children were born, all live to adulthood and were raise on the family's farm except one son. Most of the children lived in Kentucky.
He worked his farm and raised his children there on Grassy Creek in Pendleton Co. He and Mary Ann are buried in the Schluter Family Cemetery, which has only about ten headstones in it. The cemetery is located on his farm, it is behind the Smith Cemetery on Smith road.
