"WESTFORD - On Wednesday evening, October 13th at 9:15 occurred the death of Frank Lendel Welden, aged seventy-three years. Mr. Welden had been in poor health for the past six years and for the past seven months had been confined to his home, most of the time confined to his bed. Death was due to lobar pneumonia, following a long illness of acute sinisitis. Mr. Welden was born August 29th, 1861 in the town of Westford, the son of William and Emaline (Sliter) Welden. December 21st, 1892, he was married to Miss Minnie Palmatier of Westford. His entire life was spent in and around Westford with the exception of eight years he lived in Phoenix. He is survived by his wife who has tenderly cared for him during his entire illness; by two nephews, Millard Welden of Middlefield, and Roscoe Welden of Westford; one great-nephew, Harold Welden of this place, several cousins, some who reside in the West ... Interment was made in the family plot in the Westford cemetery. Bearers were B. H. Roseboom, Van Whitman, Ray Green and Charles Kinch ..."
