Wiley Hamrick was the first born son of George and Mary C. Hamrick. He was the brother of Archibald, Green Berry, Susan, and Hannah Vianna (Hamrick) Holifield. He died at 23 years of age, unmarried and with no children. A genealogy marker and artificial flowers were put in place at his grave in 2017 by the restorers of the graveyard, Smart family descendants, and genealogy researchers and writers: Dennis C. Martin, Cynthia Y. Whited, and Tonya M. Rogers.

Wiley's headstone reads: "In Memory of Wiley Hamrick, who died June 22, 1854, aged 23 years, 6 months & 23 days."
Gravesite Details
Wiley's headstone is still fairly legible in 2016 and can be found in the row of Hamrick headstones in the S/W end of the graveyard.
