Funeral services for Mrs Sabilla M Langdon will be conducted at 2pm Friday (Apr 15 1955) in the Henninger-Allen funeral home chapel with Clayton Yoder and the Rev. M.F. Bess officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be George Shriver, Paul McKitrick, Shelby Smith, Alan Yoder, Larry Trekell and Elbert Williams.

Mrs Langdon, 309 West Cherokee, died Wednesday (Apr 13 1955) after an illness of two weeks. A native of Sharpesville, Ind. Mrs Langdon came to Old Oklahoma with her husband (Samuel M Langdon) in 1892 and settled near Dover. At the opening of the Cherokee Strip they made the run and staked a claim 13 miles southwest of Enid. She lived in and around Enid for the pas 35 years.

She was a member of the Fourteenth and Main Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Ruth Parsley, Mulberry Ark., two brothers Ed Hoffman Sharpesville Ind., Charles Hoffman of Los Angeles Cal., two sisters Mrs John Barrum and Mrs Carrie Holman both of Tipton, Ind. 27 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren and her husband proceed her in death.

Also proceeding her in death were her 1st husband Thomas M Bess of Sharpsville Ind, Sons Leotis Bess and Grover Bess, Daughters Cora Bess Fields and Mary Langdon Barr.
