Jason Robert Costa, 33, of Baxley, died Friday, May 11, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born December 28, 1978 in Melrose, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Navy as an E6 Petty Officer First Class. He was employed by Southern Company. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas James Costa.

Survivors include his wife, Kayla Costa, Baxley; two daughters, Harlee Costa and Taylor Costa, both of Baxley; his mother, Robin Whissel and her husband, Vernon, Gulfport, FL; a sister Mary Costa, Pinellas Park, FL; grandparents, Robert and Marge Barr, Deltona, FL; an uncle, Rickey Willey and his wife Susie and a host of Willey family and four nieces.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Todd officiating. Eulogies were given by David Pittman and Eddie Miles.

Interment will follow at 3 p.m. that afternoon at the Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Corley, Roger Barr, Preston Shaw, Russell Barr, Eddie Miles and Steve Booher.

The family will assemble at the residence, 277 Joey Lane, Baxley.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gail Taylor, 124 Brown Street, SW, Baxley.

Swain Funeral Home of Baxley is in charge of arrangements.
