George P. Lerch, 74, a former Toledoan, died today in his home in Port Clinton.
Born in Eden, O., Mr. Lerch lived in Toledo 50 years, moving to Port Clinton in 1945. He was a self-employed carpenter and contractor and operated a fruit farm after moving to Port Clinton.
He was a member of Viking Lodge, IOOF, Toledo, Lake Erie Encampment, IOOF, Port Clinton, South Side Cassel, Rebecca Lodge, and the Catawba Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are a son, George E., Port Clinton; daughters, Mrs. Cordelia Johnson and Mrs. Augusta Goebbel, both of Port Clinton; sisters, Mrs. Gertrude A. Landis and Mrs. Leah Boudrie, both of Toledo; brother, Wayne, Toledo; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Bolander Mortuary. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
