My precious mother.
Julia L. Stockdale Jackson, age 82, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on December 27, 1929 in Owenton, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late, Earl & Bessie Hewitt Stockdale. Julia was raised in Carroll County and attended school there. She was united in marriage to William Aubrey Jackson on June 19, 1952 in Vevay, Indiana. This happy union was blessed with two sons and two daughters. Julia was a loving and devoted wife, mom & granny. She enjoyed caring for her family and spending quality time with them. She was very generous and it could be said, she would give you the shirt off of her back. She enjoyed her partnership with her late husband in many business endeavors. They owned and operated River City Mini - Mart for fifteen years in downtown Madison. They also owned and operated Paul's Burgers & Shakes and it later became known as B.J.'s Burgers & Shakes in downtown Madison. Julia was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Milton Baptist Church and had served on the Milton PTA. She found great enjoyment in watching hummingbirds, reading, working word search books and playing Yahtzee.
