Mrs. Lavina T. Edenfield, age 74 of the Marvin Community, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after an extended illness. She was a native of Lipan, Texas, married her husband, the late Thomas Edenfield, and after his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, they moved to Toombs County in 1971. She was a home maker, caregiver, an artist, quilt maker, and was devoted to her family. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her parents, Lovace and Monta Morgan Tuggle.
Mrs. Edenfield is survived by one son, Rodney D. Edenfield and wife Gail of Lyons; one daughter, Kathy Clark and husband Freddie of the Providence Community; one brother, Darwin Tuggle and wife Faye of Lipan; two sisters, Geraldine Weldon and husband Sam of Lipan and Alice Boyeson and husband Ron of Hudson Oak, Texas; two grandchildren, Daniel Aaron Edenfield and wife April and Freddie Hoke Clark; one great-granddaughter, Julie Jade Edenfield and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 12th at 10:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Kennedy officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
