David Lancaster was born in Appalachia, Virginia to David Lancaster, Sr. and Naomi Jones Lancaster. David Lancaster, Sr. died and Naomi married Alexander Bowman who became David's stepfather. David married Beatrice Lancaster and fathered 3 children in Lee County, Virginia. He left in 1957 and his family did not know where he was or if he was alive or dead for 13 years after his death. His wife and one daughter, Donna Lancaster Ketron, are deceased. His mother, stepfather, and father are deceased. He is survived by daughter, Wilma Lancaster Baker, of Pennington Gap, VA and David Lancaster, Jr. also of Pennington Gap, VA. He is survived by one half-sister Mabel Ann Bowman Wells. He has one half-brother, Robert Bowman, who is deceased.
