Norbert O. "Doc" Preston, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, widower of Dorothy Preston, passed away May 5, 2012. He was 97.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late George and Marie Petunya.

Mr. Preston retired from Reynolds Aluminum.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Anne Seaton Catholic Church, and was in the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Norbert was extremely creative, loved nature, singing, and was an avid antique collector.

Mr. Preston is survived by four children, Sue Edwards and husband Charles, Mike Preston and wife Nancy, Margaret Roberts (husband Hoppy deceased), Mary Preston King and husband Dave; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Bernadine Toth.

He was predeceased by two children, Kathy Petunya and Beth Turk (husband Tony); and his cat, Cali.

Funeral services will be held, May 11, 2012, at 10:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn, conducted by Rev. Terry Ferrell with burial in Cannon Memorial Park.
