Olivia, Minn., Jan. 18.- Funeral services were held here for E. W. Van Ornum, last Civil war veteran of Renville county. He was 89 years old and is survived by his widow and five children. The couple observed their 65th wedding anniversary November 10. Van Ornum, who fought under Grant and Sherman, once had a personal audience with President Abraham Lincoln.
