Plato
Birth: unknown
Death: unknown

Plato, born 427 BCE in Athens, Greece, he was one of the most famous philosophers of ancient Greece. Plato wrote several works that are still in circulation today, some of his most famous are "The Republic," "The Apology," and "Timaeus," which tells the story of the famous lost continent of Atlantis. There are three accounts of how Plato died in 347 BCE. Two say he died in bed, the other at a wedding feast. It is assumed that he died of natural causes. (bio by: Chris Aldridge)
