TRIBUTE PAID MRS. SAHLER LAST FRIDAY - LAST RITES OF MRS. C. P. SAHLER FRIDAY MORNING ARE LARGELY ATTENDED - Floral Offerings Were In Profusion - Mrs. Sahler Died at City Hospital After Operation on Tuesday Evening

The funeral over the remains of the late, Mrs. Sarah M. Sahler, beloved wife of County Commissioner C. P. Sahler, took place at the home, 325 north oak street last Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev C. Schoenheider, pastor of the German M. E. church officiated. The pall bearers were: Frank W. Adams, F. H. Joesting, F. W. Farnum, H. P. Olson, B. Schafer and W. J. Naylor. The floral offerings were in profusion, testifying to the esteem in which the deceased was held. The interment was made in Forest Hill cemetery.

Among those from away in attendance at the funeral were George Koller, LeSueur, Minn. and daughter, Mrs. J. W. Campbell and daughter, Miss Helen Campbell, of LeSueur, Minn.; Joseph Wagner, LeSueur, Minn., and E. F. Sahler, Minneapolis.

Mrs. Sahler died at the city hospital on Tuesday, August 13 in the evening at 10:20 o'clock. Death followed an operation which she underwent Tuesday morning. Mrs. Sahler's health was very poor for some time and since her mother, Mrs. Batzel's death last May, she has failed rapidly.

Mrs. Sahler's maiden name was Miss Sarah M. Batzel. She was born in Anoka county, October 5, 1859. It was in the centennial year, 1876, she came with her parents to Steele county and ever since had made her home in this community. She was married to Charles P. Sahler December 28, 1880. They made their home on a farm northwest of the city which Mr. Sahler in 1907 rented and in 1910 moved to the city, making their home at 325 North Oak street. She is buried by her husband.
