Annetta Boyer was born in Tyrone, Pa., March 16, 1856, and died Aug. 11, 1941 after a long illness. Her father George W. Boyer was a veteran of the Civil War and moved his family to Dwight, Ill., soon after its close. She was married to James B. Austin at Dwight, in 1879, and in 1892 they moved to Western Nebraska where Mr. Austin engaged in the grain business. In 1906 they moved to Lincoln, where Mr. Austin died in 1911.

She leaves a son, George, of Orleans, and three daughters, Mrs. Effie A. Thacker, Misses Blanche and Maude, all of Lincoln; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. D. P. Mills of Wichita, and Mrs. A. M. Bartholic of Dwight; one brother, A. A. Boyer of Dwight.

She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church. Funeral services were held at Hodgman's Aug. 13, Dr. Bert L. Story officiating. She was buried at Dwight after a short service at the home of A. A. Boyer on Aug. 14
