A NOBLE WOMAN DEAD

Mrs. Sarah McCall Passes Away Quietly At Her Home Yesterday Morning

Another of the old settlers of Bibb County quietly passed away on yesterday.

Mrs. Sarah McCall, widow of the late Eleazer McCall, died at her home, three miles from Macon, in her 82nd year. She was well known and greatly esteemed by everyone who knew her. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church for many years. She has known Macon since her youth, when the greatest part of it was n the east side of the river, and has watched its development into one of the most attractive cities in the state with intense interest. She was a noble woman and her life has been a benediction to a large circle of friends.

Sarah was the daughter of Major James H. Patton. It is not known who her Mother was. She married Eleazer McCall on July 1, 1827 in Macon Co., GA.
