Karen W. Bydalek assed away peacefully, at age 72, after a lengthy illness on April 25, 2012 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
She is survived by her beloved husband David, daughters Karin Goodhart and Peggy Vojtisek, son Gabriel Bydalek, granddaughter Caitlin Goodhart, great granddaughter Abigail Goodhart. She is also survived by her sister Lynne Hansen, niece Kris Teml and nephew Marty Hansen, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Karen was born November 5, 1939 in Berwyn, Illinois to Mildred and Henry Gebauer. She married David and moved to Arizona in 1969. Nani took pride in the proper raising of her children and granddaughter.
She had a passion for Native American culture, visiting local ruins often. Karen enjoyed literature of all kinds and had a large collection of children's books. She also loved gardening, music, and any animal she encountered. She had a vibrant personality, an outrageous sense of humor, was outspoken, and was always right. We all loved her and will miss her greatly.
Private services were held on April 27, 2012 at Citizen's Cemetery in Flagstaff. Condolences and memories can be shared with the family online at norvelowensmortuary.com.
