Thurman "Babe" Donnar, 93, of 8320 N. Pierce Road, Bruceville, IN passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home.
Born November 13, 1918 in Knox County, Indiana, he was the son of Edward M. and Rosa (Good) Donnar.
His parents preceded him, as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving is his wife, Vera (Cornelison) Donnar, whom he married June 5, 1949; his children, Cindy Fisher, Denise Reed, and Kent Donnar; grandchildren, Michelle Reagan, Leah Donnar, and Hannah Donnar; great-grandchildren, Quentin, Brianna and Peyton Reagan; and a sister-in-law, Garnett Donnar.
Thurman was a self-employed builder, and a member of the Emison United Methodist Church.
During WWII, he served in the Medical Department 204th Gen Hospital on the island of Guam.
Babe loved music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing cards.
Friends may visit with the family at Goodwin Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held.
Interment will be in the Oaktown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice.
