George Elsinger an old resident of the county, died at his home in this city Tuesday morning at a quarter to eight, from a complication of diseases. Mr. Elsinger had been failing in health for several months, but had been confined to his bed only a few days. The deceased was born July 16, 1847, in New York. His parents came immediately to Wisconsin, settling in St. Lawrence where his entire life was spent until four years ago when he came to this city to reside. Mr. Elsinger was married Oct. 25, 1871, to Magdalene Guenther, at St. Lawrence. Mrs. Elsinger survives her husband with the following children: John, of Loyal; Henry of Soum Mour, Calif.; Severen of the town of Hartford; Joseph at home; William of Richfield, and Rev. Francis Elsinger, assistant to Rev. Hartman at St. Kilian's, this city. Lena, (Mrs. Jos. Miller) and Clara, (Mrs. A. Schuh) of St. Lawrence; Elizabeth, (Mrs. Barney Katzfey) of Schleisingerville. He also leaves two sisters: Mrs. Barbara Krebs of Milwaukee and Mrs. Michael Stetzer of Tyndall, SD. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Saturday morning at St. Lawrence Catholic church. The services will be conducted by his son, Rev. Father Francis Elsinger, assisted by Rev. Fathers Hartman and Maas. The deceased was a man who was always held in the highest respect by everyone. He was a kind and devoted husband and father, and a good neighbor and helpful friend, always willing and ready to do a good deed for his neighbor. We extend our sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives and friends.
