Mrs. Carrie PULLEN, 79, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday at the Rochester Nursing Home, where she had lived the past three years. Death came after two weeks' serious illness. Born July 25, 1878, in Grass Creek, she was the daughter of John and Almedia URBIN KUMLER. She had resided in Fulton and Marshall counties almost all her life. Her first marriage was Sept. 5, 1900, to Philemon PHILLIPS, who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was June 21, 1935, to Emmerson PULLEN, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Grass Creek E.U.B. church. Surviving are one daughter, Geneva GERITULA, Portland, Ore.; one son, Dean PHILLIPS, R.R. 2, Argos; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy KUMLER, Grass Creek; Bright KUMLER, Mt. Pleasant, Mich., and several nieces and nephews. One son, one daughter and one brother preceded her in death. Rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Grass Creek E.U.B. church with the Rev. D. L. PELLETT officiating. Burial will be in the Grass Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home here until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state an hour before services.
