Hamilton Prioleau Bee
Birth: Jul. 22, 1822
Death: Oct. 3, 1897

Secretary of the first Texas senate and speaker of the house, 1854-56. Brigadier general of the Texas State Militia in 1861. Brigadier General CSA (1862), commanded Western District of Texas. He lived in self exile in Mexico for eleven years (1865-76) before returning to Texas.
