Gloria LaMora
MADRID — Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria L. LaMora, 60, of State Street, Madrid, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John The Baptist Church with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph Bailey officiating. Burial was in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. LaMora died Sunday (Nov. 12, 1978) at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, George; seven sons, George of Laguna Beach, Calif., Michael, Gerald of Waddington, Patrick of Massachusetts, David of the state of Washington, William and Terry of Madrid; two daughters, Gloria and Jacquelin LaMora, both of Madrid; six grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Shaffner of Baldwinsville; and a sister, Eileen Robertson of Santa Clara, N. Y.
Mrs. LaMora was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, July 19, 1918, the daughter of Lawrence and Anna Nelson Shaffner. She was married to George LaMora, in St. Mary's Church, Watertown, Nov. 16, 1936 with the Rev. McCarthy officiating.
The couple then lived in Carthage for several years and for the past 11 years, they resided in Madrid.
