Grant Button, youngest son of the late Morgan Button, was born in Grundy county, Morris, Illinois, June 13, 1866, and died May 8, 1917, age 50 years, 10 months, 8 days.
In the year 1893 he was married to Ida M. Brougham. To this union were born eight children, two having passed away to the Great Beyond in infancy.
He was a kind and indulgent husband and father. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and six children, Lyle, Ralph, Hattie, Hazel, Russell and Everette, also six brothers and two sisters, besides a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the home near the Chalk story by Rev. Lee Darnell of Alta Vista. The services were concluded in the Chalk cemetery, the M.W.A. having charge.
