Keith Eugene Brandt, 86, of Sheridan passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Billings.
Keith was born in Sheridan, WY to John W. And Velma (Babe) Brandt on March 24, 1926. He attended Sheridan Schools and graduated from the Sheridan High School early in order to enlist in the Army Air Corps. He married Marie Blankenship in 1950 in Sheridan, WY. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1987. Keith and Marie raised five children; Keith (Patty) Brandt, Reba (Don) Johnson, Tim (Pam) Brandt of Rozet, WY, Anita (Ken) Weber, Elisa Brandt. He worked in sales most of his professional life. In December 1989 Frank Rosenthal offered Keith the job of a lifetime delivering flowers. He found his job enriching as he brought much joy to those he touched. In addition to delivering flowers, he made daily visits to the Watt Dialysis Kidney Center to visit with those going through treatment. Keith was a sports enthusiast. He supported local sports especially those in which his grandchildren participated.
Keith is survived by his five children and thirteen grandchildren; Sam, Sara, Jason, Ryan, Dacia, Ezra, Bree, Dani, J.D., Renae, Ellen, Meredith and Digby and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Gary and Darold and a son-in-law, Chip Garber.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m with a Rosary at 7:00 at Kane Funeral Home with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in the Elks Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
