Nathan Carl Myers, 32, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis. He was born Nov. 8, 1979, in Grenada. He was a US Army Veteran having served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom as a Ranger in the 82nd Airborne Infantry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was proud of his country and his service.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Cecil Fayard officiating. Interment with military honors followed in Grenada Memorial Garden. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Alexandria Lyn Myers of Brandon; his mother, Gaye Myers of Brandon; his father and step-mother, Gary and Garner Jo Myers of Holcomb; grandmother, Norma Gray Myers of Grenada; two sisters, Lindsay Haugen of Meridian and Carli Myers of Holcomb; a brother, Evan Myers of Brandon and two nephews, Cade Myers and Noah Haugen. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tillman Little, Mamie Gillette Little and Robert Carl Myers.
