Allen Vinton Butts
Death came Wednesday following a heart attack to Allen Vinton Butts, 68, retired grain snspector, at his home at 4375 S.W. 103d Avenue, Beaverton.
Mr. Butts was born in Severy, Kan., October 19, 1886, and came to Oregon City at the age of 12. He later moved to Portland but has been living in Beaverton the past 21 years.
Survivors include his widow, the former Frankie Florence Ogle; one daughter, Mrs. Levo L. Best, Astoria; one son, Benjamin F. Kilgore, Beaverton; a brother, Ernie Butts, Portland; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Farmer, Molalla; and four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Mr. Butts was a member of the Beaverton Kiwanis club; IOOF, No. 256, and Tigard Canton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pegg's Chimes-of-the-Valley chapel, Beaverton. Rev. Thomas Courtney will officiate. The IOOF will officiate at concluding services in Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
