LIVINGSTON - John "Jack" Moore, 72, of Votaw died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in Memorial Medical Center - Livingston.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 30, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Jones and the Rev. Ray Pinner officiating.
Burial followed in Blue Water Cemetery in Livingston.
He was born May 20, 1950 in Knight, the son of Edd E. and Myrtle J. Kite Moore, both of whom preceded him in death.
He married Wanda Swearingen Moore on Jan. 22, 1953 in Holly Grove.
He had served as a minister of Church By Christ Jesus and was a faithful servant of God. He was a member of Romayor Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Moore of Votaw; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Raymond Blair of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, C.T. and Ruth Moore of Votaw; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Ben Lyssey of Conroe; brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Carol Moore of Votaw; son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Ronnie and Loretta Moore of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Dean Christensen of Votaw; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rolanda Moore of Votaw; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and special friend, the Rev. Darrell McAdams of Dolen.
Pallbearers were the Rev. Michael Moore, Thomas Moore, Kenneth Moore, the Rev. John Hancock, Mark Moore Jr. and Dean Christensen II. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Thomas, Robert Johns, Joey McCriegt, Harley Holloman and Dale Reynolds.
