Adored daughter of Tina and Lynn Kuhns, loving sister of Kylie.
Kelsey was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia on September 8, 1998 at the age of 5. She relapsed on May 23, 2003 and received a bone marrow transplant from her sister Kylie. Sadly Kelsey passed away from t-cell complications on November 1, 2005.
Kelsey was described as a bubbly, bright and determined child who enjoyed dance, soccer and basketball. Her personality and her smile were contagious; she could just light up a room.
She grabbed people's attention when she was going through her illness because she had this way with people. Kelsey always really concentrated on people getting along, trying to do good things and getting together. When Kelsey was little, her favorite activities were sand art, painting pumpkins and trying to win a gold fish.
Kelsey was passionate about ballet, tap and jazz. She attended Mifflinburg Area Middle School and the Enterline's Dance Studio in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania
Kelsey's sister Kylie has established a nonprofit organization Kelsey's dream in honor of Kelsey.
On what would have been Kelsey's 13th birthday; Tina, Kylie and Kelsey's friends from her school organized a Kelsey
Kuhns Memorial Day and raised money to build a playground at the new Mifflinburg Intermediate School. The playground was completed in 2007.
