MRS. VERLINDA ELIZABETH HUNTER
Mrs. Verlinda Elizabeth Hunter, passed away at her home at 11 North Date street early Monday morning after an illness of eight months' duration. Mrs. Hunter had been in failing health for several year.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Drake funeral chapel with Rev. E. H. Simmons pastor of the Assemblies of God officiating. Burial was made in the family plot in Zillah cemetery.
The deceased is survived by a son, Orville Hunter, with whom she made her home and by a brother, F. Stidham of Vancouver, Washington.
Verlinda Elizabeth Stidham was born November 14, 1871 in Kansas. She was married to James O. Hunter in Kansas. The family came west and at first located at the Dalles, and later lived in Goldendale before coming to Toppenish in 1900, and they have since resided here. Mr. Hunter passed away several years ago.
Mrs. Hunter was a member of the Assemblies of God church of Toppenish and of the Toppenish Good Cheer Rebekah lodge.
