GOSHEN -- Friends of Rosa Nissley may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where the service will be at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Wakarusa.

Mrs. Nissley, 76, of 223 Brookside Manor, died in her home Monday morning (March 10, 2003) after a sudden illness.

She was born in Marshall County on June 9, 1926, to Eli and Elizabeth (Borkholder) Burkholder and married Eli Nissley in Nappanee on Dec. 25, 1952. He died June 22, 2002.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Patricia) Penley of Corpus Christi, Texas; one son, Vernon of Goshen; one granddaughter; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Annabelle Cripe of Goshen and Lydia Miller of Nappanee; and one brother, Floyd (Clara) Burkholder of Nappanee.

Mrs. Nissley was a homemaker and a member of the Elkhart Christian Center.

Memorials may be given to the center or American Diabetes Association.
